Tommy’s “Vortex” will be starring in The Last of Us
We already know the most important roles in the upcoming series The Last of Us produced by HBO – Joel and Ellie will be played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. However, if you played the first or second part of this series, you know, of course, that there are many more characters in them and they often play a relatively crucial role. Other confirmed actors do not go unnoticed by the media and fans, especially when the imaginary puzzle begins to be nicely assembled. So Deadline magazine brings information about three other actors who will play the characters of Perry, Bill and Frank, which the couple may have encountered in the game and will influence the pilgrimage for the search for a cure for infection in the series.
However, there is one interesting thing about the character of the former – Perry will be played by Jeffrey Pierce, who in both parts of the video game series lent his voice to his brother Joel Tommy. However, this will be portrayed by Gabriel Luna in the series, so on Pierce not left instead, which is probably due to the fact that he is not very similar to Tommy. As for Bill and Frank – two apostates who live alone in an abandoned city – their roles were cast by actors Murray Bartlett, resp. With O’Neil. You may know the former from the White Lotus series, for example, the latter from Chernobyl or Batman, for example. The connection with the Chernobyl series is probably not accidental, considering that the producer and screenwriter of The Last of Us for HBO is Craig Mazin, one of the authors of the latest version of the story of the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
We also remind you that less than two months ago, a similar situation occurred – as it now revolves around Pierce – also with regard to the role of Marlene. The series will be played by the same actress who lent her appearance and voice to her digital version, the actress Merlde Dandridge, and Nico Parker, who will play Joel’s daughter Sarah, will also be present. The series itself should be filmed during this year and is estimated – so far without official confirmation – it is expected for next year. We also know that the story will be based primarily on the first part of the game series, but it will feature characters and events that were not in the model. It can potentially take care of filling the story gap between the first and second game pieces, and it is likely that it will not end with a single row.
