Listen to the Top 2000 on your iPhone
It has become a tradition that we all fill in our favorite songs on the Top 2000 website in the last months of the year. The organization then makes a list of the most popular numbers. It will be played on NPO Radio 2 between Christmas Day and New Year.
You can follow the Top 2000 via radio, but in 2020 it is of course also possible to listen to the list live on your iPhone or iPad. You do this via the NPO Radio 2 app, which has a special Top 2000 page. You can immediately see how high certain songs are and you can search for, for example, all the songs of your favorite artist. You can also easily check when your favorite will be broadcast. You can even get a notification when the time comes.
Do you want to decide for yourself when you put on which number? In the NPO Radio 2 app you can listen to fragments from all songs. If you want to hear the full songs, you have to rely on the playlists of streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. You cannot (yet) find a Top 2000 of 2020 via the latter app. The most recent version is from 2018.
NPO Radio 2 app also works with Apple TV
Via the NPO Radio 2 app you can send the broadcast of the Top 2000, with or without images, directly to your Apple TV. This is done via the Cast icon, after which you select AirPlay. If you have a Chromecast, choose Cast. This way, you can easily watch or listen to the Top 2000 on your television.
