This time things will be different

After Ubisoft had surprisingly postponed the release of Far Cry 6, the studio is now showing new material for the latest offshoot of the popular “Far Cry” series.

Far Cry 6: Pictures from the Caribbean

As part of a live presentation, Ubisoft first official gameplay scenes and in the published trailer it’s really down to business. In the game, you take on the role of a resident of the fictional island of Yara named Dani Rojas. Dani is a guerrilla soldier fighting for freedom who tries to restore his nation to its former glory. You can choose Dani’s gender at the beginning of the game. In order to wage an uprising against the fictional Caribbean nation of Yara, you have the most curious weapons at your disposal, for example a musical CD thrower, but of course there are many other loud toys – “Heeeeeey Macarena”.

But there are not only epic battles and all kinds of tactical missions – if you like animals, Far Cry 6 is sure to get your money’s worth. Shine on you Horses and even crocodiles to wait, who would like to enjoy a few pats. Do you prefer cars? There, too, you are offered numerous options.

Another special feature of the game is the clear vertical game world. Unlike in the previous parts, you will move in the big world of Far Cry 6 at different altitudes – that means you have to keep a lot more in mind, because dangers and enemies could lurk everywhere. You can probably just as well use the great verticality of the game world to your advantage.

Far Cry 6: when will the game be released?

The latest game in the “Far Cry” series was originally supposed to appear in February, but Ubisoft had to postpone the release due to difficult conditions in connection with the corona pandemic. So far, Ubisoft has kept a low profile on the new release date, but now it’s out: Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7, 2021.
