This Samsung Galaxy M20 battery is great: two days without charging

Samsung next year possibly a smartphone with a significantly larger battery than we are used to from the company. Sources claim that this unannounced Samsung Galaxy M20 also appears in Europe.

Starting next year, we not only have the Samsung Galaxy S, A and J series, but also the Galaxy M series. Details about this new product series have been published in recent weeks, but are now becoming more and more concrete. The flagship of the series will probably be the Samsung Galaxy M20. According to AllAboutSamsung this smartphone has a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.

Such a large battery is only available in the Motorola Moto E5 Plus . In that budget machine it is soon enough to use it for two days without charging it in between. The current record holder for a Samsung smartphone is the Galaxy Note 9 . It is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery. The M20 would therefore be a considerable upgrade.

Galaxy M20 specifications leaked

When the Samsung Galaxy M20 is presented, is still unknown. However, GalaxyClub claims that the smartphone also appears in several European countries, including Germany, France and England. A Dutch release would not be fixed yet, but it seems likely. Samsung uses the device to compete with budgetsmartphones from Huawei, such as the P Smart and P20 Lite . The Galaxy M20 is expected to cost around 200 euros.

Other Galaxy M20 specifications have been leaked before. We know that the smartphone has an LCD screen of about 6 inches or more, with minimal edges and at the top only a small notch for the selfie camera of 8 megapixels. There is an Exynos 7885 chip present, with 3GB RAM. On the back is a double camera of 13 and 5 megapixels. These specifications are quite similar to the recently published Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus .

Strikingly, the device probably runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo). The final version of Android 9.0 (Pie) has been available for almost half a year, but Samsung still does not have smartphones running on the software.
