this is what the Google Translate app looks like in Material You

Google will soon roll out an update for the Google Translate app. It can be seen that the preparations for the Material You design are in full swing.

Material You for Translate

In the code of the installation file of the Translate app, clues have been found for a new design in Google’s translation app. It can’t hurt, because the app has been using the same design since 2018. The new design is in the style of Material You, the design language of Android 12.

The blue bars are gone in the new version of the app. Google Translate for Android is now also easier to operate with one hand. Removed the hamburger menu and moved the important buttons down. Probably the buttons are colored in the theme chosen in Android 12. It is reported that there is still a chance that the new interface is only coming for the Pixel. This is clear from the designation called p21, which could refer to Pixel 2021. Whether that is indeed the case, we will probably see in the near future.
