This is what podcasts in YouTube Music look like

To compete with giants like Spotify, Google is also bringing YouTube podcasts to YouTube Music. Americans get the scoop and Google is already sharing the first images of it.

Podcasts in YouTube Music

Google reports on its support forum that podcasts on YouTube are now available in YouTube Music. This new feature is rolling out gradually to all listeners in the United States. With this integration, listeners of podcasts in YouTube can continue to listen to them in the YouTube Music app.

YouTube Music users can also enjoy podcasts in the background or offline without the need for a Premium subscription. This is different from listening to music on YouTube Music, which doesn’t support offline or background playback unless you pay for Premium.

The Home tab is where you’ll find recommendations for new podcasts and episodes you haven’t played all the way through. The Discover tab is where you can find new podcasts to expand your library and watch popular podcasts and episodes. You can also search for available series and episodes, and the channel page will display other podcasts and episodes from a specific creator.

Google says it plans to bring podcasts in YouTube Music to other regions in the future. Spotify recently did the opposite and introduced video podcasts into its app. Check out the first ten major shows that you can watch via Spotify in the Netherlands.
