Samsung has opened the beta program for the Galaxy S21 series. This means that we get a first impression of Android 12 with One UI 4 on the Samsung devices.

In some countries, those with a Galaxy S21 series device can sign up for Samsung’s beta program. The manufacturer has announced this for the US, Germany, Poland, United Kingdom, South Korea, India and China. As expected, other European countries are not included, so we are unlucky in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Thanks to the information from these countries, we already get to know the necessary information about which functions and design changes are new in One UI 4, which is based on Android 12.
New is, for example, the new notification menu and the brightness sensor. There is also an ‘Extra Dim’ mode, which allows the screen to be dimmed for comfortable viewing. The home screen gets a new widget picker and there is also a new permissions screen. You also get insight into the history of permissions and Samsung has also provided the ‘Device maintenance’ app with some changes.
