this is how you put it back

The iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch have all received a major update. Safari has been overhauled in iOS 15 and some things are completely different. Fortunately, many adjustments can be reversed, but how? iPhoned helps you.

Read on after the ad.

Safari iOS 15 Issues

Installing iOS 15 went smoothly for the vast majority of iPhone users. At 19:00 the update was ready and you could get started right away.

There was some confusion about the update at the beginning of the evening. When iOS 15 was ready for your device, the notification did not appear in the middle of the screen as usual. Instead, a narrow bar at the bottom says iOS 15 is available.

However, it didn’t stop there. One of the adjustments to Safari caused quite a bit of commotion.

Safari address bar back to top

One of the first changes you’ll run into in iOS 15 is Safari’s address bar (or tab bar). It has been moved from the top to the bottom of the screen. If you don’t like that, you have to dive into the settings to reset the address bar.

Set Safari Address Bar Back to Top

  1. Tap on ‘Settings’;
  2. Scroll down and tap ‘Safari’;
  3. Scroll down again, until you get to ‘TABS’;
  4. Choose the option ‘One tab’;
  5. Launch Safari and the address bar is back in its old place.

Last year also problems with iOS 14

Last year when everyone was ready to install the iOS 14 update, things also went wrong. In the end, the latest version of iOS could not be installed until late at night. But even after a successful installation, some things weren’t right.

For example, the viewfinder could remain black when the camera was started or connecting to Wi-Fi networks gave problems. These issues were quickly resolved in a software update. iOS 15 will probably also receive the necessary updates in the coming weeks.

New Features of iOS 15

iOS 15 brings several new features. A very important innovation of iOS 15 is the Focus function. This allows you to determine when you receive which notifications. In addition, FaceTime will receive an update. The video calling app gets a portrait mode, a feature that cancels out background noise and more.
