This crawler robot can move anywhere!

Hebi Robotics, a company that produces hardware and software tools that make it easy to quickly create custom robots, has just unveiled an all-terrain robot. Called Tready, it is a robot, with four articulated tracks, capable of overcoming all obstacles both on land and underwater. The tracks are placed at the end of the articulated arms of the robot. Each track can be controlled individually, placed flat on the ground, or even rotated on one end or another. The robot can thus move on most surfaces, and even stairs. It can also climb obstacles like a tree trunk or get out of a hole by orienting each caterpillar separately.

An all-terrain robot that can perform tricky or dangerous missions

The Tready robot is 110cm long, 48.5cm wide and weighs 25kg. It is also IP67 certified, which allows it to move one meter deep underwater for 30 minutes. In addition, Tready has eight actuators that allow it to reach a speed of 1.8 km / h. It also has a removable battery and displays up to three hours of battery life. The robot also integrates an Intel NUC mini PC, and it can be controlled via Wi-Fi using a mobile application. All of its functionalities allow Tready to carry out rescue operations or to conduct an inspection on industrial sites.

Hebi robotics explains that Tready can still carry a LiDAR or a camera. In any case, the price of this all-terrain robot has not yet been revealed. However, this price will probably not be below $ 36,000 since this is “only” the price of the robot’s eight actuators.
