This activates the new material design

Company Google last week at the Google I / O 2021 conference, it introduced a completely new design for Android 12. Its name is Material You and uses humanistic principles such as pastel color palettes and creative shapes. At least unofficially. Portal AndroidPolice found its subtle element in the Google Chrome 90 version in the context menu.

This suggests that Chrome may soon see an official facelift. You can try the new design now by copying the following URL into the Chrome status bar.

In the menu that appears, select Enabled, and then click the restart button at the bottom. You will need to restart Chrome again to restart it. The new design is visible when you press the context menu button at the top right of Chrome.

The new design looks more natural and less intimidating

Instead of sharp edges, the context menu will have rounded corners. The design is more aesthetically pleasing and the long selection of items in the browser menu can be less frightening. Portal AndroidPolice recalls that the new design element may not work on older devices with an older Android.

It can be assumed that Chrome will be converted to a new, more aesthetic design of Material You in a stable version in the near future.
