these Samsung Galaxy’s are getting the update

Samsung has announced that it is rolling out the One UI 3.1 skin of its own to previously released devices. Until now, you will only find the One UI 3.1 interface on the Galaxy S21 series.

One UI 3.1 for older devices

Samsung supplies the Galaxy S21 series with the One UI 3.1 interface as standard. The company is now announcing the news that previously released smartphones will also be updated with the new version of Samsung’s skin. This means that various new functions will also be available on those devices.

Samsung states that it has started distributing the update from now on. Incidentally, it can take a while until everyone receives the major update. The improvements can be found in the camera, among other things. Never miss a moment again thanks to the improved Single Take, and the editing tool lets you erase unwanted elements in a photo. There is also touch autofocus and automatic exposure for the best quality photos. Multi Mic Recording allows you to simultaneously record audio from your phone and a connected Bluetooth device. It is also ideal for musicians, because both voice and instrument can be recorded separately for the perfect video.

By the way, Multi Mic Recording will only be available for Galaxy S20 series, S20 FE, Note 20 series, Z Fold 2 and Z Flip. For the S20 FE, for example, the update was already distributed, but it was then withdrawn quite quickly. Yesterday the distribution of the update resumed.

One UI 3.1 photo editor

With One UI 3.1, Samsung has also added the Eye Comfort Shield function, which adjusts the intensity of the blue light on your screen to the time of day. Furthermore, there is an important focus on privacy and you can, for example, before you share a photo, delete metadata and you can use Private Share to determine who can access content that you send for how much time. You can also switch seamlessly with audio from one Galaxy device to your other (such as the Galaxy Buds) via Auto Switch.
