Apple releases iPadOS 17
Apple gives almost all devices a software update. iPadOS 17 will be released for the iPad this year. The first beta version of iPadOS 17 will probably appear again in June, with the final release in September. With the iPadOS update, a completely new app will probably come to your iPad and alternative App Stores will finally be allowed.

There will be no support for iPadOS 17 for a number of iPads. It is not expected that the fifth generation iPad will receive a new update. The first generation iPad Pro (both the 9.7-inch and the 12.9-inch version) also has to do without iPadOS 17. The new update will come to these iPads:
More software updates at WWDC 2023
In addition to iPadOS 17 for your iPad, WWDC 2023 will likely also release updates for your iPhone, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch. Apple will then launch tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14.
