these 37 emojis are coming to your smartphone next year

In July of this year we already learned more about the new emoji that were ready for next year. Now a final decision has been made about which new emoticons will be released; there are 37 in total.

We can expect new emoticons on our devices next year. Unicode 14.0 is the name of these new smileys and expressions. In July more was already known about which emojis will be available. Now the organization, which deals with the new characters, has made itself heard. We now know which 37 new emojis will definitely find their way to smartphones, tablets and other devices. With all variants and skin tones, the number of new emojis comes to 122.

The new emoji that will become available include the melting emoji, a greeting, one with a crooked face, a peeping face and one that secretly cheats. We also see others; the pointing finger, shaking hands in different skin colors, an identity card, water lily, lifebuoy, empty battery and a disco ball. In the near future, manufacturers and partners can start making the new emoticons available in their services and platforms. This may just take a while. We will probably only see the new emojis on the smartphone in 2022.
