The Windfolk air event takes us to the flying islands -apkrig

True, the most interesting games are not released right at the beginning of the new year. But that doesn’t mean that some of the news can’t catch your eye. If you’re into comic-styled frenetic action, the new exclusive Windfolk game for PlayStation 4 and 5 could be in your taste. This is a 3rd person shooter from Fractall Fall, published by the Spanish branch of Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Each player can find their own style and strategy of fighting by combining different weapons and abilities.

Unlike other similar titles, this one flies rather than walks. The story takes us to the fictional planet Eurian, torn apart by the war. The local flying islands are in danger thanks to the ruthless Coalition, which will oppose the resistance movement. The main heroine is Esen, who uses a jetpack as deftly as various weapons.

The authors promise unprecedented freedom of movement and a remarkable environment that should be a joy to explore. We are supposed to go to arid deserts and tropical areas overflowing with lush vegetation. Each player can find their own style and strategy of fighting by combining different weapons and abilities. Further challenges for us await after the completion of the story part.

Windfolk is based on the PlayStation Talents initiative and its authors were awarded a special prize. The program has been operating since 2015 and is organized by the Spanish branch of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The purpose is, of course, to look for potentially interesting projects, in this case from Spain, to provide them with the necessary support and help them with a worldwide launch.

The game is supposed to sell for 15 euros or dollars, respectively, but I haven’t found it in the Czech PlayStation Store yet, unlike others, which is a bit strange when it is released directly by Sony and it is a PlayStation exclusivity. But the remedy probably shouldn’t take long. In the meantime, you would look in vain for reviews, so we’ll see what turns out to be in Windfolk.
