The US Apple Stores no longer require the wearing of masks for vaccinated people

Apple has decided to review the rules of its US Apple Stores to no longer require the wearing of masks for vaccinated people. This applies to people who have been fully immunized. Those who have only received one dose should still wear the mask in the store.

In a memo distributed to the leaders of the American Apple Stores, relayed by Bloomberg, Apple announces that visitors who are fully vaccinated may not wear the mask, but employees will be required to keep it whether or not they are vaccinated. This policy change will be in place as of Tuesday.

Last month, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) allowed fully vaccinated Americans to no longer wear masks. Apple had decided not to follow suit and to keep wearing the mask. But this rule will soon be abandoned. Also, the manufacturer intends to lighten the rules concerning social distancing. But there is no more information on this.

Apple also announces to its American employees that the wearing of the mask in some of its offices will no longer be compulsory. We can imagine that the situation will evolve gradually over time depending on the health situation and its evolution.

Apple recently announced that all of its employees will have to return to the office in September at least three days a week and do the rest by telecommuting. This bothers some employees, who want to keep teleworking and not be forced into it.
