#15 | CES 2022 almost without an audience: Does a tech fair still make sense?

There are three major trade shows that we as tech enthusiasts look forward to. MWC in Barcelona, IFA in Berlin and the year always starts with CES in Las Vegas. Due to the entire corona crisis, CES has to make do with less audience. There are also a number of major brands that announced at the last minute that they would not participate.

Many of the announcements have been made online as a result, and that’s actually going pretty well. In the podcast, Connor asks Dim and Gonny whether such an event is still necessary. If we can do it online, why would we allow such a huge population migration to take place three times a year?

In addition, we all go through the nicest and most striking announcements from last week at CES. We’re talking about Google, a tracker for your dog, a VR tracker for your wrist from HTC, wireless charging of your remote, a car that can change color and how teleporting is getting closer and closer. Beam me up Scotty!
