The short animated film Ratchet & Clank -apkrig appeared out of nowhere

Similar situations are usually preceded by a long marketing campaign, announcements, demonstrations and promises. But the new animated short film Ratchet & Clank: Life of Pie struck like lightning from clear skies. He appeared on the Canadian streaming service Crave, and although it was speculated for a while that it might be a prequel of the upcoming game, it eventually became clear that it was a separate licensed project.

The Mainframe studio is behind the 23-minute long story and, according to the subtitles, was founded in 2019, which is extremely special. Where has he been wandering for so long? We don’t know. According to Sony, however, it is not an official part of the canon, although the original dubbers participated in the film. Studio Mainframe previously worked on the film Ratchet & Clank from 2016, which has the subtitle Guardians of the Galaxy in our country, so fans should not be worried about the quality of the animation.

At one point, he seemed to be making a full-length animated film based on the Sly Cooper platformer by Sucker Punch Productions (Infamous, Ghost of Tsushima). But in the end, this project came to an end.

The Canadian studio Mainframe previously created, for example, the film Escape from Planet Earth, and otherwise spits out a lot of series. In the past, she has also participated in cut scenes for Prototype, WET, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand or Ghostbusters: The Video Game. At one point, he seemed to be making a full-length animated film based on the Sly Cooper platformer by Sucker Punch Productions (Infamous, Ghost of Tsushima). But in the end, this project came to an end.

In any case, the Ratchet & Clank short is in the world, so you can tune in to the upcoming sequel. An interesting coincidence when we learned just this week that the video game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be released on June 11th.
