The Samsung Galaxy A50 receives an August security patch

Samsung’s August security update began circulating at the end of July. The patch for the system now also comes on Samsung Galaxy A50. The information was provided by the portal SamMobile.

The update fixes 40 Android 11 bugs

The Samsung Galaxy A50 is a two-year-old model that is no longer sold in stores today and has recently been replaced by its third generation Samsung Galaxy A52. Nevertheless, he is still guaranteed security updates and the latest one brings him the August security patch of the system. In his case, it is a version of the Android 11 system, which he received only recently in March.

Update number is A505GUBS9CUH1. It is currently available in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico and Uruguay. Other countries should follow soon. According to the list of changes, it should bring and fix a total of 40 vulnerabilities and bugs in Android 11.

The system should notify you automatically when an update is available, but you can also verify it manually. Just go to the section Settings -> Software Update -> Download and Install. Before installation, make sure that your smartphone battery is at least 70% charged.

How is the competition?

There is also competition in the updates. This month, the popular Chinese brand OnePlus brought Android 11 for three-year-old OnePlus 6 and 6T smartphones. The American brand has started distributing the Android 11 system for its first folding smartphone with a flexible Motorola razr display. HMD Global launched an update with Android 11 for the Nokia 5.3 earlier this month, and Xiaomi distributed it for the popular POCO X3 smartphone.
