The new iPhone SE 2022 is coming! We already know this about the device

The iPhone SE is a popular iPhone for people who don’t want to spend too much money on their smartphone. On March 8, Apple will most likely announce a new generation of the device.

With a near certainty, a new iPhone SE is coming! The current model is from 2020, so an update is more than welcome. At first glance, the next-generation iPhone SE doesn’t seem to change much, but looks can be deceiving. Apple has hidden most of the changes under the hood. We already know this about the new iPhone SE.

1. A well-known design

The iPhone SE 2022 is rumored to have the same design as the current iPhone SE. This means that the device will have a home button with Touch ID, a glass front and back, aluminum edges and a single camera on the back. The current SE comes in three colors: white, black and red. There is a good chance that the iPhone SE 2022 will get a number of new colors, so that the device will have a fresh look despite the ‘old’ design.

2. A15 chip for fast performance

The current iPhone SE runs on an A13 chip. We already saw this with the iPhone 11 series. While the chip still performs well, it’s time for an upgrade. The new iPhone SE will therefore have an A15 chip on board – provided the rumors are correct. Apple’s most expensive iPhone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, also has an A15 chip under the hood.

Apple is fully committed to power with the SE. By using mostly ‘old’ parts, the manufacturer keeps enough money for, for example, the latest chip. The A15 chip is the fastest chip you can currently find in a smartphone. So you can play the most intensive games with the iPhone SE 2022, surf the internet without delay and unlimited TikTokken.

3. 5G Support

Since the iPhone 12, all iPhones have 5G antennas. This connects you to the 5G network, which gives your internet speed a significant jump. The current SE came on the market for the iPhone 12 and only supports 4G internet. As a result, the smartphone is not very future-proof in that area.

The next iPhone SE will get 5G internet. That means everything with an internet connection is faster – from streaming movies to iPhonedread articles. Of course you need a subscription with 5G internet for this.

4. Better camera

We’re pretty sure the iPhone SE 2022 will get a better camera. It’s still going to be a single lens, so don’t expect an extra ultra-wide or telephoto lens. The new camera will probably get a better lens. Who knows, it might be the same lens we saw in the iPhone 13 or iPhone 12 before.
