The new Google widget will help combat digital addiction

Although Android 12 is full of exciting new features, its most visible clue is definitely the redesigned design. Focusing on more colorful colors and more creative shapes then helped to bring about an intense return of elements that many considered almost extinct – widgets. The upcoming widget of this Google application should help a lot in this regard. In the code of one of the beta versions of the mentioned app, this was achieved shortcuts to find and activate.

As you can see in the gallery, the widget will display total screen time or the time spent looking at the display and also a text and graphic ranking of the biggest eaters of your attention. On the surface, this element can take up space as small as 1 × 2 tiles. The content will change according to the selected area. Although technically complete, this information can be very useful in the eyes of the general public and a warning to many users.
