The most important changes from Update 3.0 at a glance

A few minutes ago Capcom presented the upcoming update 3.0 for Monster Hunter Rise in an official livestream. We have summarized for you everything that will change in the new version and when the update will appear.

New patch for Monster Hunter Rise: This brings update 3.0

Update 2.0 for Monster Hunter Rise was released around a month ago and, in addition to new weapons and armor, also brought more monsters into the game. Now Capcom presented the upcoming content for Update 3.0, which will be released on May 27, 2021, in a livestream and then posted a short video online that introduces the new monsters that are entering the game with Update 3.0:

New here is the Crimson Glow Valstrax, a monster that Monster Hunter fans already know from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. However, this particular variant is brand new. The elder dragon can move freely through the air thanks to its wings and even crash like a meteor to the ground. Even for Monster Hunter veterans, the fight should feel new, as the developers not only gave the monster a new coat of paint, but also treated it with new attacks. New weapons and armor can also be made from the Valstrax monster parts.

In addition, the Apex Zinogre can now be found during a rampage quest, but can also be selected as a standard quest in the hub. The body of the new apex monster is encased in golden lightning. Compared to the normal version, the Apex Zinogre seems to have expanded its attack repertoire and is more deadly than ever.

Also one new end quest with a fresh story finale holds the update 3.0 ready. Judging by the trailer, the hunters there compete at the same time against the wind snake Ibushi and thunder snake Narwa in the arena in which the thunder snake Narva was defeated once before. We assume that the two monsters have some brutal combo attacks in store.

In addition to these major innovations, there were other small changes, which we summarize here briefly and concisely:

  • New monsters appear in hub quests
  • New monsters appear in rampage quests
  • New quests available
  • New boss fight arena available
  • New weapon, armor and decorative armor trees as well as new items available
  • New skills and rampage abilities available
  • The appearance of riot weapons can be changed with the use of materials.
  • New guild card medals available
  • Fixed some minor bugs

In addition, Capcom is also releasing new DLCs as part of the update, with which you can give your hunters different voices or change their appearance. Additional poses, stickers, hairstyles, and face paints are also available.

Monster Hunter Rise Roadmap: This is set to happen in the coming months

Even after the 3.0 update, Capcom more events for Monster Hunter Rise planned. The roadmap for the next few months was presented after the content for Update 3.0 was presented:
