The Moonlit Depth (Loosen All 5 Seals)

The world mission “The Moonlit Depth” in Genshin Impact 2.1 is a larger quest that you can complete on Watatsumi Island. You have to break 5 seals and solve various puzzles and defeat opponents. In our walkthrough we will help you with all quest steps.

The moonlit depth – solution in Genshin Impact 2.1

You start the world mission “The Moonlit Depth” with Shrine Maid Tsuyuko at Mouun Shrine in the west of Watatsumi. Among other things, you will earn prestige in Inazuma for graduation. Tsuyuko asks you to help you perform a ritual to break five seals and collect ghost pearls at shrines.

After the conversation, individual orders for the first four seals land in your quest log. You have to complete all of these before you can break the last seal. In the following video we will guide you through the entire global mission with all the solutions. A text guide follows the video.

Eye of Watatsumi (1st Seal)

The first seal is on the small island west of Mouun Shrine. First read the stone tablet to the left of the small shrine for a clue of what to do.

You must use your elemental vision to discover three hidden particles north, west and south of the shrine that you must destroy with one attack. You can see the exact locations on the following screenshots.

Particles to the north behind the boat

Particles in the south behind the bush

Particles to the west on top of the ledge

Then return to your collect the first ghost pearl at the shrine and complete this subcontract.

Fang of Watatsumi (2nd Seal)

The next ghost pearl is waiting for you at the shrine on the hill in the northwest of Watatsumi. First read the stele again and then activate the elementary monolith in front of the shrine.

You now have to fend off all waves of enemies before the enemies reduce the monolith’s health to 0%. Have you done that, you can collect the ghost pearl at the shrine.

Watatsumi Fin (3rd Seal)

The next shrine with a stele is on the small island in the north. Here you have to solve two puzzle plateaus with fish statues. First move the three fish statues on the northern plateau so that they point inwards. This is confirmed to you by an active stream of water that flows towards the center.

Do not be confused by the fact that the fish statues on the southern plateau are also rotating simultaneously. If all fish statues point to the center, the western statue is activated. This then floats a little in the air and ensures that the fish statues can no longer be moved, no matter what you are doing on the southern plateau.

Pay your respects to the statue when all the fish statues are correctly positioned so that the latter cannot be moved.

Now you can repeat the same principle on the southern plateauuntil all statues are in position to loosen this seal and collect the ghost pearl at the shrine.

Tail of Watatsumi (4th Seal)

The fourth seal can be found on the small island in the southeast. After reading the stele, conjures up an electrogranum a little east of the shrine and charges all purple stone statuettes left and right of the shrine with electricityby walking past it with active electrogranum.

Electrically charge all purple stone formations to release the seal.

Then break the seal and you have to defeat a few Fatui enemiesbefore you can collect the ghost pearl.

Heart of Watatsumi (5th Seal)

Return to Tsuyuko with all four ghost pearls in your luggage. Their location will be marked on the map. After a short conversation you can now open the gate to the heart of Watatsumi, which will be marked for you in the east.

At the gate with the fish seal in front of the cave you have to hand in all ghost pearls and can then go inside. Inside you have to solve plateau puzzles with fish statues as with the 3rd seal, but this time there are four plateaus, whereby the last plateau is only unlocked when you have completed the three previously.

However, the principle remains the same. Position the fish statues on the first three plateaus so that they are facing in, then activate the last statue to fix the position of the statues. You have to defeat hydro opponents each time you complete it.

Note that the principle is reversed on the fourth plateau and you can only turn the fish statues there if the respect statue is not anchored in the ground. Then defeat the last wave of enemies before an opulent cutscene ends the ritual.

After the sequence you will receive the “Key to the moonlit depth” and you can talk to Tsuyuko in the middle. She explains to you that with the key of the Way to Enkanomiya can be opened. However, the mission ends now and there is no follow-up quest. This may be implemented with the next update for Genshin Impact, as there is still an island missing in the Inazuma region.

In addition to the mission rewards, you will also receive the after the end of the world mission Achievement “The same moonlight”. Do you still have questions or problems with “The Moonlit Depth”? Then write it to us in the Comments.
