The Last of Us Part II data contains traces of multiplayer -apkrig

We haven’t heard from Naughty Dog developers for quite some time in relation to the development of a particular title, so after the release of The Last of Us Part II, we only have to refer to public secretthat we are now working on a multiplayer add-on, or a separate multiplayer game. The circumstances surrounding the multiplayer game, which would enrich the great story part, are not entirely clear, but according to speculation so far, we are also inclined to believe that the project may have been created as part of the original game, but is now being worked on as a separate title and should come out in the foreseeable future. This idea is newly supported by the findings of one of the fans, who immersed himself in the data of the game and was able to find links in them leading to the multiplayer mode, which indirectly confirm that in some stages of development it may have been considered directly into the basic game.

Insider, nicknamed Speclizer, shared a short video in which he mainly deals with the map of the supposed multiplayer. In the data of The Last of Us Part II, he found its unfinished form and it is a conglomeration of locations that Ellie and Abby and I visited in the story. Speclizer then uses free camera mode to better show places from the singleplayer section and perhaps remind those who finished the game once it came out and did not return to it. The game environment can thus be formed by connected places such as a petrol station, a port, a park or a motel. The fan presents most of them in his video and it must be acknowledged that the combination would create a relatively colorful and large map, on which you could do where. At this point, Speclizer suggests that the map is large enough to accommodate the battle royale mode, but this part of his video has apparently been distorted considerably by many media and fans, and they consider the fan’s assumption no wonder.

The multiplayer mode can take basically any form, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the developers wanted to continue working with the concept of Factions, known from the first part. Seasonal fights of individual factions against each other, a persistent world for several weeks, tasks, rewards,… The second version of Factions could offer so much, given the technical maturity of the game and a number of mechanisms, that the battle royale does not seem likely for Naughty Dog and designer Neil Druckmann. But we also have no idea what is being worked on in the studio and we can’t rule out anything in principle. Of the last snippets that Speclizer was able to extract from the data, however, it is worth mentioning the activation of the listening mode, or collars, foreshadowing the possible occurrence of dogs.

However, the question remains as to how old the assets really are and whether it was not just a test or an innocent elaboration of a future project, which cannot be inferred also because the development of multiplayer had to be in its infancy. In addition, we believe similar ballast every game has a lot and doesn’t have to mean anything at all. However, if all the ideas were fulfilled, the battle royal with specific rules and some original elements would not be bad in The Last of Us. Finally, according to a note in the comments, Speclizer also states that he also found a script for reading active players and a compass, which are attributes that battle royale games have, so we’ll see…
