The Huawei P50 would finally be unveiled over the summer

If a preview of the Huawei P50 was given by the manufacturer a few weeks earlier, the smartphone is still pending. It seems that a presentation conference will be given during this summer.

Huawei is starting to free itself from US sanctions. First during a conference where the company unveiled its brand new HarmonyOS operating system. This software, largely based on Android, will equip the manufacturer’s old and new smartphones. In addition to this OS, the company also had to present its high-end device: the Huawei P50. After several delays, the mobile should be formalized during a conference in July.

Will the Huawei P50 always be ahead of the photo?

Once again, the information should be taken with a grain of salt since the manufacturer has not confirmed anything. The Gizmochina site relays a series of leaks from the Weibo social network. These converge on a Huawei conference scheduled for July 29. It must be said that the brand has already given some information about its future high-end product. During the June 2 conference dedicated to HarmonyOS, some visuals of the Huawei P50 were expertly distilled to the general public.

Despite its gigantic ambition, the Chinese manufacturer still has to face some brakes. US sanctions severely handicap Huawei’s supply chain. The direct consequence has been a significant delay in the release of the Huawei P50. The question now is whether the company has not fallen too far behind the competition. Some elements are already revealed. There should be more inventory for 4G versions than 5G. For the latter, there are still a few Kirin 9000 chips in stock. The real question is the photo.

Huawei has largely dominated the photography market for years. On the other hand, the competition seems to have caught up. Vivo works with Zeiss, OnePlus with Hassleblad. At present, the photo telephony market is dominated by the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra according to DxOMark. The Chinese manufacturer will therefore have to hope that its P50 is not too late vis-à-vis the competition.
