The HarmonyOS 2 operating system already uses 10 million smartphones

The new HarmonyOS 2 operating system for smartphones has only recently been introduced. It is looking forward to success in its home China, it is already installed on more than 10 million active devices, informs GSMAren. In Slovakia we will have to wait, this year the current models will probably not receive an update.

HarmonyOS 2 is gaining popularity

However, we will soon be able to try out the Huawei Watch 3 watch, which was introduced with the HarmonyOS system. Huawei has decided to celebrate 10 million active devices with a special cake with a watch, smartphone, headphones and TV.

The Chinese manufacturer has high hopes for a new operating system. He still can’t use Google services. Despite the fact that the hardware is a top device, their sales in Europe are declining precisely due to the absence of Google services. Those who can live without them are satisfied with the new models.

An update to HarmonyOS 2 is currently available for the Mate 40, P40, Mate 30 and MatePad Pro series smartphones. So far only in China. The Huawei P30 and Honor V30 series is currently being tested, the public beta is expected to arrive in July.

Bold plans for the future

The manufacturer hopes to have more than 360 million devices with a new operating system active by the end of 2021. An integral part of it is the Huawei AppGallery store, which we also know from devices running the Android operating system.

The business is constantly expanding with new applications and we are pleased that the Slovak ones are also added. We can already find most of the important local applications in it. For example, those banking, taxi services, itineraries and the like.
