The Google Play store gets a new design in the style of Wear OS 3 on the watch

At this year’s Google I / O conference, Google unveiled its grand plans for a new version of the Wear OS operating system, in which it worked with Samsung. It is not yet known when the new Wear OS 3 will reach users, but Google is preparing to release it now. The company recently updated the user interface of the Google Play store to the current version to match the design of the new version of the system. The XDA Developers portal informed about the news.

A preview of the new design was posted on Reddite by u / alehel, who received the update on his Suunto 7 smart watch. These are not big changes, but the new interface is more clear and works better. The new layout is more compact and the individual items, including the Open button, are now placed on a gray pill-shaped card. Additionally, a clock has started to appear at the top of the screen.

Samsung’s smart watch will also be built on Wear OS 3

At the end of June, Samsung provided us with the first look at the new One UI Watch extension, which is based on the Wear OS system. While we won’t see Wear OS 3 so soon live, the One UI Watch superstructure will power this year’s generation of Samsung Galaxy Watches.
