The recently announced remake of the sci-fi horror film Dead Space made most fans happy. But the term of the game raised concerns. Respectively, the fact that EA did not mention it in the first teaser and even then the developers did not comment on this topic. It was generally considered that this was probably indicated by the fact that it was a project of the more distant future, where the publisher was not yet ready to even indicate an approximate date or year.

However, Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat magazine claims that the title can be released by the end of next year, if everything goes according to plan. Due to the fact that before the official announcement he correctly predicted the arrival of the remake itself and who is working on it, its resources cannot be taken lightly. Grubb himself points out that there can easily be some problems in the video game industry that force a postponement of the project, and he also tried to obtain the opinion of Electronic Arts.

However, the spokesman only reiterated that they had not given a date and had nothing to add to speculation. “But we are glad that people are excited about the game,” he added. Because the game is reportedly coming out of the window by the end of fiscal 2023, Grubb expects to appear in the financial report next year. Until then, we’ll probably hear about the remake, he thinks. EA reportedly plans to show more from Dead Space by the end of this year. Although Grubb himself notes that the current trend is more like leaving the marketing to the end and publishing the exact date just before the release. Another is the fact that it turns out that games sell very well, although customers have to wait until the last minute to reveal the date.

EA Motive’s remake Dead Space on the Frostbite engine also praises EA’s leadership. As part of the solution of the latest financial results, we did not learn anything super specific, but the company still touched on the topic. EA chief Andrew Wilson has said he can’t say much more than he’s said at the moment.

There was an extraordinary demand to bring it back to existing players and the new generation of players, “said Wilson, adding that they are happy to return and will be able to reveal more in time. He emphasized, however, that it was one of the most sought-after titles, perhaps after Skate, whose return was also announced by EA. And the reaction of fans to this announcement was, according to him, very positive. After all, EA also praises the adoption of the already released improved trilogy Mass Effect, whose sales are said to have exceeded the company’s expectations.

We also understand that the existence of older Czech gives you hope for translation. But it does not guarantee anything in itself. In the case of a remake, earlier localization is no guarantee. How much will be involved in the script and whether it will be based on the original in terms of translation, or whether the dialogues will be rewritten more. However, hope dies last.
