The dark theme for Waze is finally here
We can consider Waze to be the last application belonging to Google, which until recently did not have a dark theme. However, this is changing these days and the first users already have a dark theme available. We have information from AndroidPolice, but we also found a dark topic in the application.
The dark theme for Waze is currently in beta
You will also find out from the fact that in the settings menu, even when using the Slovak translation, this option is displayed in English. In addition, when switching between dark and light mode, the right part of the bottom bar was glitched.
We like that when setting a dark theme, we have a choice of several options: On, Off, Adjust to phone settings, Night only (ie automatic switching based on day mode).
AndroidPolice reminds that this is a special version 4.78, which is said to be not publicly available. Like us, other users report various display bugs, so if you come across any, you know it’s an early version and these bugs will be ironed out in the future.
The Internet has no idea yet when this significant news could be available to everyone, but we believe that soon. A dark topic in navigation is more important than in any other application – probably no one would want to drive during the night with a light mode. Even old navigation devices had a dark theme at the time. Although Waze also had it, but only for the map itself.
See for yourself if you no longer have an update for Waze. Maybe you’ll be as lucky as we are. However, it is true that we have an active Beta version.
