The Cyberpunk 2077 stays in the Xbox Store but offers a Vortex refund

Microsoft has announced through its social networks that it will offer a full refund for the digital version of the Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox without further conditions to anyone who requests it. The game, unlike the PlayStation Store, remains on sale here. Microsoft said it wants to ensure that every player gets the experience they expect on the Xbox.

The console manufacturer is said to be well aware that the CD Project developers have worked hard to release Cyberpunk in exceptional circumstances. But Xbox also realizes that some customers are dissatisfied with the current version and the experience it delivers on older consoles. Of course, those who bought the game and do not want to return it can continue to play and these facts will not affect him in any way.

Microsoft has reportedly allowed a large majority of players who have requested a refund. As with the PlayStation, the digital version can be “claimed” on a special page. Microsoft has not yet said when it will be possible to request a refund. As we wrote this morning, the head of the Project CD, Adam Kicinski, told Reuters that they were not discussing downloading Cyberpunk for Xbox from digital distribution with Microsoft at the moment.

The CD Project commented on the download of the title from PlayStation Store this morning. He said that the temporary suspension of the digital PS4 version is a joint decision of the studio and Sony. The boxed version is still sold and its distribution is not limited in any way. The team also reassured that the digital and physical versions will continue to receive regular fixes. According to the authors, anyone who does not want to wait for updates and wishes to return the game now has the option. The CD Project is working hard to get Cyberpunk 2077 back on PlayStation Store as soon as possible.
