Lottoland offers an application for Android and iOS with the Lottoland app . The app offers features like cheap bills and many payment options. Users can choose between the well-known lotteries Lotto 6 out of 49, Super 6 and EuroMillions and settle the virtual ticket via direct debit, credit card or PayPal.
A disadvantage of the Lottoland app is that it is not available in the Google Play Store . The application must be downloaded from an external source, allowing viruses and malware to reach the smartphone. Also, the installation of the app takes quite a long time (more than 5 minutes even with active Wi-Fi connection).
Lottoland uses different engines for website and smartphone. The user experience differs considerably and even experienced users can not cope immediately when switching from smartphone to website and vice versa.
Also disadvantageous are the partially high fees (€ 0.50 surcharge for each ticket), which at Lottoland for a round “6 out of 49” or “ Eurojackpot Incurred.
Lottoland waives information on addiction prevention. Game reminders, as offered by Lotto.de, are not available to Lottoland. Long and incomprehensible terms and conditions could cause problems for users who want to catch up on all the details before signing up.

The classic Lotto.de website has recently been redesigned to a so-called “ Progressive Web App ” with a new design , We are sure that this is a step in the right direction. The application of Lotto.de does not have the disadvantage of being downloaded, such as in the somewhat unsafe application of Lottoland. With the help of push notifications, app users are notified of updates directly on their smartphone.
A modern design and access to all important functions complete the service.
Unfortunately, during our test, we found a major shortcoming. As you know, the Lotto.de website forwards the user to the website of a regional lottery provider (for example, Lotto Hamburg or Lotto Niedersachsen), where the player must complete his registration and order.
We have selected our numbers on the uniformly designed Lotto.de web application and have proceeded with the order. From the point where we entered the postal code, we were redirected directly to the regional portal.
The problem here was that all previously selected numbers and tickets had disappeared. Likewise, our entire registration data. Thus, we had to start with the registration process on this completely different side again from scratch. This was pretty disappointing.
Lotto.de is the classic portal and convinces with a large size and a clear website, which offers not only tickets but also a large selection of help videos. However, Lotto.de is relatively expensive in comparison (0.10 – 1.00 EUR more on each ticket, depending on the region) and offers little to no discount promotions. Overall, a good app that is not suitable for bargain hunters.

LottoStar 24: A safe and uncomplicated modern web application
The LottoStar24 application is one of the lower priced lotto apps on the market. So far, without any fees, the application offers direct access to the individual lottery types.
The functions are similar to the Lotto.de web application. No download is needed and no app needs to be installed. Security is higher, and there are still push notifications about your winnings. Unlike Lotto.de, there are no disadvantages in terms of high price or confusing redirects to regional sites.
LottoStar24 offers among others EuroMillions, Lotto 6 out of 49 and the Game 77, with great discounts (for example 3 Fields Euro Jackpot for only 2.00 € ). The provider promotes the highest security standards, with which lost coupons should be a thing of the past.
