The authors of DC Universe Online make an MMO from Marvel -apkrig

Dimensional Ink Studios, part of the Daybreak Game Company and run by DC Universe Online, is working on a new MMO according to the Marvel comics, according to a presentation for EG7 investors. It is intended for AAA production and is being developed in Austin, Texas. The mention of the game has already appeared in the leaked list of upcoming titles for the GeForce Now service.

According to Marvel, the Daybreak Game Company has already tried MMOs once

It is said to be the largest project of the EG7 group so far. From all sorts of indications, the game seems to be targeting both PC and consoles and should bet on a free-to-play model. However, its release undoubtedly falls until 2024 or even later, because the project is marked as more distant than those promised for 2023.

The development is to be led by Jack Emmert, who previously headed the Cryptic studio. This is due to the superhero online City of Heroes and City of Villains, Champions Online or MMO Star Trek Online. The Daybreak Game Company was supposed to work on an MMO from Marvel a few years ago, but the project was postponed or canceled altogether. It is not entirely clear whether the new title is a renewed project or a completely different game. According to Marvel, the aforementioned Cryptic also worked at the MMO, but later transformed into the aforementioned Champions Online without a license.

Today, the MMO The Lord of the Rings Online also belongs to the Daybreak Game Company. This will see a modernization of graphics and gaming experience and will also come out for consoles along with the launch of a new series from Amazon. It is worth remembering that Amazon unfortunately canceled its own online game set in the Mediterranean this year. DC Universe Online, which has been on the market for 10 years, is also expected to see a graphical upgrade and the largest content expansion to date. But it will not come until 2023.

Today, the Swedish group EG7 (Enad Global 7) owns companies such as Toadman Studios, Piranha Games or the Daybreak Game Company. Its portfolio also includes upcoming IGI Origins or EvilVEvil games.
