The author of Final Fantasy XV is working on two great RPGs -apkrig

A week ago, we wrote about the first official Paralympic video game ever. It’s called The Pegasus Dream Tour and is backed by the main author of Final Fantasy XV Hajime Tabata, who founded his own studio JP Games after leaving Square Enix. But a mobile free-to-play title is not the only thing he and his colleagues are working on.

The Tokyo team has two more RPGs in development, this time. In an interview with Famitsu magazine, he specified that he was working on them together with some large companies. The first project completed the pre-production phase and is an experiment and allegedly an evolution of Final Fantasy Type-0. The game will play faster than a traditional RPG, but is designed to be played repeatedly in multiplayer. The development of the second RPG has just begun and is about AAA evolution of Final Fantasy XV with free exploration of the world.

Tabata left Square Enix in October 2018, leaving the internal team of Luminous Productions. After Final Fantaxy XV, he is now working on Forspoken for PS5 and PC. He opened a new JP Games studio in January 2019. Tabata recently revealed that after leaving Square Enix and founding JP Games, he had a number of tempting offers to create AAA games, but first wanted to try something different and create a title that would somehow benefit society. This project is the aforementioned free-to-play sports RPG The Pegasus Dream Tour.
