On DroidApp we kicked off our 7.5 year anniversary in July. We celebrate that with giveaways with incredibly cool prizes, such as new smartphones. Send in your best photo with the DroidApp Photo Contest and relax with the DroidApp Word Search. Furthermore, our eighth edition of the weather app test 2021.

We also wrote about enough Android-related news. Carl Pei, one of the founders of OnePlus has announced the Nothing brand and has announced its first product: Nothing Ear (1). OnePlus presented its new competitively priced mid-ranger with high-end features; the OnePlus Nord 2. Nokia showed the new Nokia XR20 with four years of updates! Motorola was there with the new Motorola Edge 20 series and Huawei the P50 series.

New in Instagram Stories is the handy translation function that you can use from now on. WhatsApp introduced the new Archived button. In July we also saw new emoticons that add Emoji 14.0

My favorite travel app is Polarsteps. You can digitally keep your travel diary. The Dutch developers released an update in July with a new feature; Polarsteps Guide. This allows you to quickly discover new places. Not only sights, but also other locations such as restaurants or other cozy places.

The Appie app from Albert Heijn has been expanded with a handy feature. The update that was rolled out this month brings the receipt in the Albert Heijn app. When you scan your bonus card, which is linked to your account, you will see the receipt of your purchases directly in your account in the app. Useful.
