New apps are constantly being added to the Play Store. However, most are not worth a try. In this weekly overview we therefore collect the best Android apps, updates and games for you.

Read on after the ad.

1. Clusterduck

Clusterduck is a bizarre yet entertaining game that is all about breeding ducks. What makes the game bizarre is the fact that the ducks mutate with each other, resulting in all kinds of strange combinations. At a certain point you see, for example, ducks walking around where the head has been replaced by a sword, or a duck with hooves for wings.

However, you only have a limited amount of space for all your furry friends and so you have to get rid of some ducks. You do that by throwing them into a mysterious hole. As you progress in the game you will find out exactly what is happening in that tunnel. Clusterduck is a free game and for 0.99 euros you can buy off the ads.

2. Google Maps

Google Maps has received a major update last week. The biggest innovation is the addition of a timeline. This is filled by local guides, restaurants and local news. For example, you can read about the opening of a new bakery or see an offer from a restaurant.

Speaking of which. since last week you can chat with companies in Google Maps. That way you can, for example, directly ask whether certain offers are still valid. Furthermore, the map information from Google Maps has become more precise and you can see, for example, crossings and driving directions on the map.

3. The Complex

An interactive film: that’s the best way to describe The Complex. In the last week released science fiction game you follow two scientists who are trapped in a London laboratory in the aftermath of a biochemical attack. Not only are the smart heads stuck, the amount of air is also running out.

It’s up to you to get them to safety. You do that by making choices. You are always asked to indicate what the main characters should do. These choices then have an effect on the further course of the game. Ultimately, you can decide for yourself what kind of end the game has.

4. Startup Panic

Have you always wanted to start your own business? In Startup Panic you take on the role of ‘founder’, in other words a founder of a company in the tech world. The game starts, how could it be otherwise, in your attic room, but when things go well you get the opportunity to move into larger and larger offices.

Startup Panic is a simulation game. So you deal with all the tasks that are part of the life of a startup director. From hiring the right staff, determining which projects have priority to paying attention to the money: you are busy with it. The game stands out mainly thanks to its peculiar humor. For example, you will have to deal with hackers and at that moment have to decide how to deal with them.
