If you don’t want to sign a contract, you can get a prepaid card for your smartphone. Telekom has started a campaign in which most prepaid tariffs are upgraded properly. So there is double the data volume for a certain time. This also applies to existing customers.

Telekom doubles data volume for prepaid tariffs

An interesting campaign has started at Telekom for everyone who wants a prepaid card or already has one. Telekom doubled the data volume from February 23 to April 10. For a total of six months the data volume in the respective MagentaMobil prepaid tariffs M to XL is doubled. With the M tariff, there are 4 instead of 2 GB, with the L tariff, 6 instead of 3 GB, and so on. The price does not change. Existing customers can also benefit from the promotion, but have to switch to the next higher tariff in order to double the price (source: telecom).

Nearly Even more interesting is the “MagentaMobil Prepaid 5G” annual tariff, in which the data volume is also doubled. So you not only get 24 GB of 5G data volume for one year, but you can use 48 GB. Calculated per month, that’s 8.33 euros for 4 GB. For comparison: At Aldi Talk, 50 GB cost 99.99 euros. Here the price-performance ratio is almost on the same level and you not only have the Telekom network available, but can also use 5G. This is probably the best annual rate on the market right now.

Important: All this only applies in the period from February 23 to April 10, 2022. You should only activate the prepaid card and decide on one of the tariffs during this period. The change for existing customers only applies then. Only during this time there is double the data volume.

The campaign makes Telekom’s prepaid tariffs really attractive. Otherwise they seem a bit too expensive. You get less data volume and no real telephone or SMS flat rate.
