Telegram is a serious counterpart to WhatsApp. The developer has now released news about the number of users, and about all the features and price of Telegram Premium.

Telegram Premium announced

Recently, Telegram Premium was already officially announced by the messaging service, now we actually find out all the details. It is a subscription form that is available for $5.00 per month. For this amount you get an app without ads, you can pin more chats to the top (10 in total) and there is the possibility to create more folders. With Telegram Premium you can further participate in 1000 groups or channels, you can send files of up to 4GB in size, add more accounts and there are special icons that you can use for Telegram and place them on your home screen. Telegram also promises faster downloads, unique responses and a premium badge that will appear next to your name.

Also added some new features that users with Telegram Premium get. This concerns, for example, the speech-to-text function. With this you speak a text and it is converted into written text. Users will also get unique stickers, new tools for managing your chats and more features will be added in the future.

New update

Telegram emphasizes that all existing features will remain available for free. It also continues to make new features available for free. These include join requests for public groups, verification badges in chats, better bots, and even improved chat previews in the Android app. From now on you can also choose to automatically save photos and the like in the gallery.

The update will be rolled out shortly. Finally, Telegram has announced that it now has more than 700 million monthly active users.
