Tele2 starts offering 5G with mobile subscriptions
Customers of telecom provider Tele2 can now get started with the 5G network. The provider has put a page online where you can activate the 5G bundle. Existing customers have to wait a little longer.
5G at Tele2
Tele2 has announced that customers can use the 5G network. The telecom provider uses the T-Mobile network for this, as is the case with the other connections. To use the 5G network, you first need a smartphone that offers this. Nowadays it does not have to be a high-end device. The less expensive phones are also increasingly receiving support for 5G, as you can see in our article with the best smartphones up to 300 euros.
In addition, customers must purchase the 5G Access bundle. This bundle costs you 2.00 euros per month and is therefore just as expensive as with T-Mobile. There is, however, an important difference. With T-Mobile, customers with an Unlimited bundle automatically get access to the 5G network, at no extra cost, with Tele2 this is not the case. If you want to use 5G with your Tele2 Unlimited bundle, you can choose whether or not to take this bundle. You can cancel this bundle monthly.
If you are already a Tele2 customer, you cannot directly connect the 5G bundle. For now it can only be activated for new customers and customers who want to renew with the originally Swedish provider. Existing customers cannot now take the 5G Access bundle, but this must change ‘soon’, Tele2 reports. It is not known when this is about to happen.
Because Tele2 uses the mobile network of T-Mobile, the coverage and range are good. According to previous figures, T-Mobile in the Netherlands has a 5G coverage of 90 percent where all residents of the Netherlands live. With 5G you can take advantage of faster and more stable internet. All details can be found on the Tele2 website, where you can also extend your subscription if necessary.
