TCL presents low-cost TCL 40 smartphones and tablets

We see plenty of new products at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This is also the case with TCL. The brand presents the new TCL 40 series smartphones and two new tablets.

TCL with news at MWC 2023

Today is the first day at Mobile World Congress; you can hardly have missed that. Various brands present their new smartphones and products here. TCL also does that, which takes the curtain off four 4G smartphones. Let’s break down the details.

TCL 403, 405 and 408

Two smartphones come with Android 12 Go. This is the modified version of Android, optimized for devices with less powerful hardware. These are the TCL 403 and the 405, two devices that really focus on basic functionality. We also see this in the specifications of the smartphone.

TCL 403

The TCL 403 appears with a 6.0 inch screen with a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels. In addition, 2GB of RAM is available with 32GB of (expandable) storage space. TCL gives the device a 3000 mAh battery. You take the photos with the 8MP lens or the 5MP front camera. On board you will find a MediaTek MT6761 chipset. The price of the device is 99 euros.

TCL 405

With the TCL 405 you have a 6.6-inch screen at your disposal, which provides an HD resolution. Here too, 2GB+32GB is the configuration. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh. Unlike the 403, this device does have a USB-C connection. Photos can be taken with the 13MP+2MP dual camera, with the extra lens for depth. The TCL 405 gets a Helio G25 chipset from MediaTek. TCL brings the smartphone to your home for an amount of 119 euros.

TCL 408

The TCL 408 is the other smartphone in the series from the 40 series. The smartphone has a 6.6-inch HD+ display and is powered by the MediaTek MT6762 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. There is a 50MP main camera and 2MP depth camera and there is also a 5000 mAh battery. It is striking that the smartphone still comes with Android 12. You pay 139 euros for the TCL 408.

TCL 40 SE

The fourth model in the TCL 40 series is the TCL 40 SE. This device has Android 13 on board and offers a MediaTek Helio G37 chipset. On board the smartphone is a 6.75 inch 90Hz screen, there is 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. You can charge the 5010 mAh battery with 18W. Photos can be shot with the triple camera; it offers a 50 megapixel main lens and two 2MP lenses for macro and depth. The smartphone will cost you 169 euros.

TCL Tab 11

TCL has also announced two more tablets. First of all, the TCL Tab 11. It focuses on the best experience a tablet can offer, with a focus on entertainment. Four speakers provide the sound, while the 11.0 inch screen with a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels takes care of the transmission of the images.
TCL has placed an 8000 mAh battery and there is also room for an 8MP camera on both the front and the back. The tablet is characterized by a metal housing. You can choose between a 4G and a WiFi version of the tablet. It’s yours for an amount of 199 euros.

TCL NXT PAPER 11

The other tablet of the brand is the TCL NXTPAPER 11. Here we also see an 11.- inch 2K display with the NXTVISION technology. This ensures even sharper images and should also better protect the health of the eyes. Furthermore, the technology ensures a higher brightness, the blue light is reduced, without increasing the yellowing.

The TCL NXTPAPER 11 comes with a MediaTek Helio P60T octa-core chipset and has an 8000 mAh battery. You can take photos with the 8MP camera that you will not only find on the front, but also on the back. Here too you can choose from a 4G or WiFi variant. The price of the NXTPAPER 11 starts at an amount of 249 euros.
