Summary from the presentation of Nacon Connect -apkrig

The holiday Tuesday evening belonged to the French publisher Nacon, who returned with a presentation of Nacon Connect. The promised list of games included a very interesting mix of races, action and fantasy, however, the biggest attractions were the sequel to the Test Drive Unlimited series with the subtitle Solar Crown and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The event took place at a very fast pace and many games received only very short demonstrations, yet the presentation served its purpose and presented what we can look forward to directed by a French publisher.

RoboCop: Rogue City

A surprise in the end was the unveiling of a new licensed game with RoboCop. RoboCop: Rogue City is created in the Teyon studio, which last entered through the Monster Truck Championship. But they also have an official game with Rambo from 2014 and Terminator from 2019, so this gust of the past in the form of RoboCop could suit them. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the game as such – it is aimed at the “console and PC” and we should not wait until 2023.

Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown

Were you looking forward to the first real shots of the new Test Drive Unlimited? Unfortunately, you looked forward in vain. Although the developers from KT Racing boasted a great trailer that revealed the location of the big racing race – Hong Kong, they did not provide a real view of the game as such. In addition, we will wait for the game until September 22 next year, when the game will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Switch. Two opposing clans will face each other, of which the player will become a member and help one or the other to succeed. The developers have pledged to bring regular news and updates on developments in the coming months, but we can’t shake the feeling that the demo has gone a little behind expectations.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

The developers from Daedalic Entertainment have finally shown snippets of footage from the upcoming game from The World of The Lord of the Rings, which focuses on the story of Glum. As it has been said before, the game bet on a new visual style, it does not try to appeal only to film lovers, but also to book lovers. The game will be largely about exploring, but also about overcoming obstacles in the spirit of parkour, as demonstrated by the seconds of third person shots of the main character as he progresses through the environment. We also saw what the important characters from the game will look like – Sauron’s Mouth, Trandúil and also Gandalf, but beyond the expected release next autumn, the developers again presented nothing groundbreaking.

Steelrising

The Nacon Connect presentation also included new footage from the game Steelrising by the authors of Greedfall from the Spiders studio. Louis XVI’s army of automatons attacked through a handsome demonstration from the alphaversion. There will be impressive environments, imaginative enemy designs as well as impressive effects of various attacks and combos.The game is scheduled for June next year and it is already possible to save it to your Steam wish list. Of course, there are also versions for Xbox Series and PlayStation 5

Vampire the Masquerade – Swansong

We had no doubt that the expected game from the universe World of Darkness – Vampire the Masquerade – Swansong from the Big Bad Wolf studio will also be presented tonight. However, we did not expect that the game would be postponed to February next year, when we were to see it later this year. In the new video, we could at least see the character of Galeb, one of the three playable vampires who “had everything” and settled in Boston. But now he has lost something or someone and longs to get everything back. With Galeb and others, we will have a rendezvous on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and PC through the Epic Games Store.

Session

The skateboard game from the developers of Crea-ture Studios was introduced through a nutritious trailer, which demonstrated a number of tricks and environments. Although the game does not have as pleasing graphics as competing titles, it bet on a close connection with the community and a connection with the whole skateboard culture. The most important news was the launch of early access, both on Steam and within the Xbox Game Preview program. However, the game will also be available on both generations of the PlayStation at an unspecified date.

WRC 10

The segment dedicated to the licensed WRC game from KT Racing was started by racing legend Sébastien Loeb. He works closely with the developers to make the game even better, which should be reflected especially in physics this year. Loeb himself claims that the game looks very realistic and, in addition, was given the opportunity to celebrate 50 years of the WRC with a reminder of all important milestones, including the victory of the mentioned racer. We are not sure if we will be able to remember the famous moments of the rally directly in the game, but at least some of the historic cars will undoubtedly get to it. The game is scheduled for September 2 and will arrive on both generations of the PlayStation, respectively. Xbox, as well as on Steam, Epic Games Store and last but not least on Switch

Blood Bowl 3

During the presentation, as expected, it also reached the third part of a crazy version of American football performed by Warhammer Fantasy characters. We were looking forward to the games this year, but the Blood Bowl was also postponed to February next year, from the promised August this year. However, the developers from the Cyanide studio focused on the content, specifically the story part, which promises a crazy campaign exactly in the overshot and highly bloody spirit of the previous parts. It will revolve around a war of sponsors, which you will go through in a team of the chosen race. There are, of course, battles against teams that support competing brands and against those that have one of the Blood Bowl legends at their center. In addition, the game will, of course, introduce the competitive modes and classic game modes that fans are used to. The game targets the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, Epic Games Store and Switch.

Rugby 22

If you are not a fan of fantasy American football, you may like the next year of Rugby from EKO Software. The developers have already promised a lot of improvements in advance, but it must be admitted that it is not exactly apparent from the trailer. The game looks almost identical to last year, but on the other hand we didn’t see much of it in the new trailer. Developers promise matches around the world, whether in club jerseys or national teams. Improvements should arrive at the level of artificial intelligence, a new difficulty mode will be added, and all this will arrive in January in the year on the PC and both generations of PlayStation and Xbox.

RiMS Racing

A fan of racing games from Nacon was completed by RiMS Racing. However, beyond the gameplay footage, the developers focused on presenting the collaboration with Sir Bob Corneli Rif from The Bloody Beetroots, who will take part in the official soundtrack. He will create several exclusive songs for the game and Ezekiel will be played in the trailer. The motorcycle racing game from the Raceward studio, which focuses on tuning and gradual modification of motorcycles, will arrive on August 19 and is already opening pre-orders. A bonus is the track in Bahrain, or motorcycles in the deluxe and ultimate edition. It will be played – as with most games from Nacon – on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, Epic Games Store and Switch.

To infinity

Six years after the first trailer, Ad Infinitum was re-introduced. This is a survival horror film from the First World War, in which we take on a German soldier who returns home. The developers from the Hekate studio started with the whole vision from the beginning and indicated in a short teaser that it would not be just like that with the return to the native German lump. The soldier will be constantly haunted by the horrors of war and the enormous trauma that completely detaches him from reality. From the game, resp. from its new concept, we haven’t seen much yet, as the release is planned for 2023 for consoles and PCs
