The streaming provider Zattoo has presented a new app for smart TVs from LG. This not only runs on the latest models, but also supports slightly older intelligent televisions from LG. However, some users still look into the tube, as it turns out.

Zattoo: New app for LG TVs is here

Owners of a smart TV from LG with a subscription to the TV streaming provider Zattoo can look forward to it. A new app is now available for the manufacturer’s intelligent televisions, which not only supports the very latest models from LG. According to the official announcement, LG models will be supported from the 2016 production year. WebOS 3.x or a newer version must be installed, then the new Zattoo app can be used. Before installing, it is recommended that you first update the TV’s firmware to the latest version. Then there is the app in the LG content store.

But there is one downer: with the new app that has now been released, the old one will no longer be developed any further. So if you have an LG television that was launched before 2016, you can no longer look forward to the new functions of the Zattoo app.

Jörg Meyer, who works at Zattoo as Chief Officer Content and Consumer, sees the collaboration with LG as loud WinFuture on the right track: “The majority of Zattoo users already stream their television on the big screen. With the availability of the Zattoo app on LG TV models, we are expanding our technical availability and will provide an easy-to-install alternative to traditional TV reception channels such as satellite or cable TV for even more households. “

The 8K age has long since begun at LG:
