Stray and A Plague Tale Requiem fly over the Pegasus 2023 ceremony

After a particularly rich 2022 edition, the Pegasus have again crowned the best French productions of the JV, with one observation that is obvious: the best French titles are of high quality and in fact have nothing to envy to the big names in America, Britain or Japan. As we knew, the main awards would be distributed this year between Stray – selected in the list of games of the year at the last Game Awards – and the very impressive A Plague Tale: Requiem. Verdict, the jury elected Stray Best video game, but also Best independent game and Best first game! A Plague Tale Requiem is far from leaving empty-handed since the studio’s game asobo won the coveted Public Prize, as well as the Pégases for Narrative Excellence, Visual Excellence and Best Sound Universe (Olivier Derivière’s soundtrack is just sublime).

Unsurprisingly, Elden Ring won Best Foreign Game and Tunic won Best Indie Foreign Game. The prize for the best Game design goes to the excellent Sifu from Soclap.
