Steam bang: Community celebrates new multiplayer shooter

A brand new and unusual shooter highlight is currently shaking up the Steam charts. The multiplayer FPS BattleBit Remastered lands a real surprise success with gigantic maps and idiosyncratic graphics.

Shortly after the start of the Early Access phase on June 15, 2023, BattleBit Remastered has established itself at the top of the Steam charts. The multiplayer shooter with block graphics offers large maps with servers that epic battles between more than 200 players allow at the same time – and the community celebrates the new game for it.

BattleBit Remastered lets you fight on maps with up to 254 players – the shooter uses a low-poly look that protects your graphics cards. For that you can almost completely destroy your surroundings in the battles. You have a total of 5 selectable character classes and over 45 weapons as well as various air, land and water vehicles at your disposal.

The shooter is currently competing with well-known shooters like Call of Duty and Battlefield on Steam – and that, although behind BattleBit Remastered just a team of three indie developers plugged. Fans celebrate the multiplayer shooter for its fast-paced gameplay and fluid presentation, and don’t mind the charming pixel graphics at all. Steam bestseller: multiplayer shooter rushes into the charts

BattleBit Remastered is such a hit with the Steam community that the shooter is currently even advanced to second place on the bestseller list – only Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is even more popular. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, on the other hand, lands relatively far behind in eighth place.
