Spotify brings back feature it suddenly removed 2 years ago

Sometimes functions are secretly removed from apps, which users are not happy with, to say the least. That is also the case with the function in Spotify that is now back in the app.

Spotify gesture is back

About 2700 votes have been received on the Spotify community about the gesture that removed the music streaming service from the app in 2018. It’s about the swipe down in playlists that the search bar conjured up. Spotify apparently regrets its decision and is reversing it. Whatever the reason, we can finally swipe down again while browsing playlists to change the sorting method or find a particular track or artist. So you no longer have to dive deep into the menu to achieve the same result.

Android Police found out that Spotify has put the gesture back in the app and made a nice gif of it. The feature is live in version 8.6.40.929 of the app, but it could also be a server-side update.
