Souhrn z Opening Night Live 2021 » Vortex

This year’s Gamescom is officially launched by Geoff Keighley and his Opening Night Live. The whole evening offers space for the big players of the game scene, so it is no wonder that the already announced titles will be complemented by a number of premieres and there may be many surprises.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

As promised, we saw the first long preview of the gameplay from the new Call of Duty with the subtitle Vanguard, whose release date is set for November 5th. The example was presented by the actress Laura Bailey herself, who plays the character of Polina in the play – a nurse who eventually throws herself into a fight for her country. And from her point of view, today we could see the game in a total of nine minutes full of action, stealth and explosions.

Halo Infinite

Footage from the training of new special forces and from action behind enemy lines flashed Microsoft along with a demonstration of the previously postponed Halo Infinite. The series will celebrate 20 years of its existence in November this year, which will mark the arrival of a special driver and even a stylishly colored Xbox Series X console. online folder and story campaign. The cooperation will arrive later.

Far Cry 6

The story trailer of the Far Cry 6 event introduced us to a sun-drenched paradise named Yara led by dictator Antón Castillo. It must soon be clear to everyone that he is digging his own grave with his questions. It is not advisable to play with Antón Castillo, which is best proved by the attached cuts from the story and the playing. Far Cry 6 will be released on October 6. It will be released on both generations of Xbox and PlayStation consoles, on PCs and on Amazon Luna cloud platforms, as well as on Stadia.

DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT

The big attraction that Geoff Keighley mentioned at the very beginning of the stream was to be gameplay footage from an improved version of Death Stranding. Of course, these happened and we could see a lot of interesting news. These include, for example, a catapult for fast and controlled movement of goods, a jetpack-like device used to slow down falls, a robot that can be used to move goods and the protagonist himself, the possibility of returning to boss fights, new missions, music and other small tweaks. The director’s subtitle Director’s Cut will be released on PlayStation 5 on September 24th.

Horizon: Forbidden West

Guerilla Games’ Mathijs de Jonge unveiled a new release date for the postponed Horizon: Forbidden West during Opening Night Live. The news will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on February 18th. And another nice surprise is that Mathijs de Jonge also announced the release of an update for the first installment, which speeds up the game to 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5.

Saints Row

The main event went pretty hard and the reboot of Saints Row was the first to show up. The rebirth of the legendary series will be based more on the first two games and will avoid the overly insane action from the third and fourth parts. Even so, there is no doubt that driving around the American Southwest will be very crazy. Players will be able to try and revisit the criminal world of Saints Row on February 25, 2022 on PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt

From the 7th of September, blood will flow again through the streets of Prague, as vampire clans will once again join themselves. Battle royale Bloodhunt from the world of Vampire: The Masquerade is entering preliminary access to the PC that day, so even those who did not get into the closed alpha will be able to taste the game. In addition, the Toreador clan is introduced to us in the trailer, and there is also a parade of fights and bloody events in night Prague.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Star Wars fans could enjoy gameplay footage from the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga action adventure, which will cover the entire basic series and guide players through key moments and all the iconic battles from the perspective of a whole host of characters. The trailer also reveals, among other things, a map of the galaxy and famous worlds. Players will be able to go to them in the spring of next year, when the game will arrive on all current consoles and on the PC.

The Outlast Trials

Although Outlast Trials appears in the new gameplay trailer, it also announces a postponement to 2022. However, it is still a horror cooperation from the Cold War period, in which you involuntarily become part of Murkoff Corporation’s research as test subjects. Unlike the previous two games, it is necessary to cooperate and overcome all the pitfalls together with other players in order to survive.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns

Firaxis, the creators of the modern parts of the XCOM series, have unveiled a trailer for the upcoming Marvel’s Midnight Suns comic book event. Like XCOM, it will be a tactical turn-based strategy, but designer Jake Solomon assures the player that it will not be a clone of the mentioned sci-fi action set in the environment of well-known comics. The creators simply promise to be bolder. In any case, Marvel fans can look forward to a number of heroes they know, including Iron Man and Captain America. Marvel’s Midnight Suns will arrive in March next year on all current consoles (including the Nintendo Switch) and on the PC.

Splitgate

Free-to-play shooter with portal games Splitgate after two years and great success in recent times, when the number of players has grown significantly, begins a new era and enters its zero season. It starts here with new maps, challenges and weapons. However, the zero season does not mean the final launch of the game, but the extension of its beta, also precisely because of the capture of everything related to the greater onslaught by the players. A new map of Karman Station is also introduced, as well as the game mode Contamination, in which an infected player tries to infect others without weapons.

New World

An ambitious colonist fantasy MMO from Amazon called New World awaits an open beta, which will take place from 9 to 12 September. The release itself should most likely still take place on September 28, unless the game is met by another and already the fifth postponement. According to the statement, the closed beta has met with very positive responses, we can only wait to see if this will be the case now and whether the game will really see the light of day, so that everyone can start exploring, building and, of course, fighting.

Lost Judgment

The Lost Judgment trailer, which will be released in a month on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, was relatively short and concise, but quite eloquent and definitely catchy attention when private detective Takajuki Jagami dealt with his enemies. Fortunately, the fans don’t have to be sad, because shortly after the end of the presentation, IGN came up with a seven-minute demonstration, which will definitely please more, as it focuses more on the story itself. Private detective Jagami is facing a really tricky case of a strange murder in Yokohama, with which something is simply wrong.

Age of Empires IV

The next part of the Age of Empires series will arrive on October 28, and Microsoft is reminding this fact with a new trailer. It combines feature videos with footage from the game’s engine and calls for its own journey through history.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

Just before this year’s Halloween, another part of the horror adventure series The Dark Pictures Anthology will be released, which the developers reminded of with the help of a new trailer. It is longer, contains a preview of the fragments of the story and the split of one of the characters, who, instead of celebrating his own son’s birthday, unexpectedly risk his life in dark corners hidden under a hot desert. House of Ashes will be released on PC on both generations of the Xbox and PlayStation on October 22nd.

Jurassic World Evolution 2

The Jurassic World Evolution 2 management dinosaur simulator has confirmed a release date of November 9 for old and new generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles and for PCs. At the same time, the option of pre-order was launched, and the Digital Edition is also available, which will offer cosmetic accessories to the game, as well as dinosaur Protection Group-based vehicle skins known to film fans from the second film Lost World: Jurassic Park. In this sequel, building your own Jurassic world alongside the iconic heroes of the film series is elevated to even higher levels by new possibilities and a more vibrant world, complemented by so-called “chaos theory”, which with its non-traditional challenges clearly recalls events and locations engage in them.

Dokev

Probably the craziest trailer of the evening came with the crazy MMO DokeV from the Pearl Abyss studio, which is relatively difficult to describe given what it has to offer and enable. Collecting various creatures here, called “dokebi,” could be likened to Pokémon or Monster Hunter in a way, but it doesn’t even remind you of what we’re dealing with. In short, DokeV is a big, colorful, children’s and open world full of activities including skateboarding, skating or strange creatures, bizarre fights, ballooning, flying in the air, toy cars, rocket jets and much, much more. Who knows exactly what this will be in the end, moreover, no platforms or release dates have been determined yet.

Midnight Fight Express

Within a year of indie games, the Midnight Fight Express isometric thresher, on which Polish developer Jacob Dzwinel is working, was once again given space here. In the new trailer, we are once again given a look at the interesting stylization and impressively processed environment of the city, through which the hero of the game must fight his way through. However, nothing is known about the story, but it is already clear about the release, which will be in the summer of 2022, when the game will target the PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One.

UFL

An interesting novelty on the sports games market could be the UFL football simulation, in which players on consoles and PCs will be able to put together their own teams of more than five thousand licensed players and compete together for prestige and points in the scoreboard. The development is in charge of the Strikerz Inc. team, which has been working on the game for five years and which plans to release the game completely free of charge. The basis, of course, will be microtransactions, the use of which, according to the developers, certainly does not bring an advantage on the lawn. The game will be powered by the fifth generation of the Unreal engine.
