Sony is working on a compact Xperia with a 5.5-inch screen

Sony plans to release a new compact smartphone. For years, Sony was the only manufacturer that released compact Android devices, that has to happen again.

Xperia Ace 4 is new little one

In the rumor circuit it is about a new compact smartphone from Sony. The Japanese manufacturer would soon be planning to announce the Sony Xperia Ace 4. This is a model series that is already being carried in Japan, but is not known here. However, according to the latest rumor, this smartphone could be released worldwide under a different name, and possibly also in the Netherlands.

Based on the information known so far, we find out a number of things. The new compact device will have a 5.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels and Sony’s well-known 21:9 aspect ratio. On board Sony would like to place the yet to be announced Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. There is also talk of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space.

For the battery capacity, a battery of 4500 mAh is expected. If the information is correct, this battery can be charged with a charging power of 18W. It is not known when the smartphone will be announced exactly. For now, we are talking about the year 2023.
