Shopping from China will be cheaper. AliExpress opens a logistics center in Poland

Ordering goods from the Chinese AliExpress platform will be faster and cheaper from November. The seller plans to open the first logistics center in Central and Eastern Europe in Poland, the Denník N portal informed.

AliExpress wants to catch the opening before November 11

The logistics center with an area of 10,000 square meters will also supply cheap goods to Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. It will be located in the Polish city of Łódž, while orders will be delivered within Poland within three days and in the largest Polish cities even the next day.

The Chinese giant plans to open a new warehouse before November 11, the largest shopping holiday in China known as Singles Day.

Why is ordering from European warehouses more worthwhile?

Goods ordered from a European warehouse will not only arrive faster (as they do not have to travel halfway around the world), but will also be exempt from additional charges.

For all goods worth less than 150 euros, which are delivered from countries outside the European Union, you will pay VAT of 20% of the total amount of the order from 1 July. For goods more expensive than 150 euros, you pay in addition to VAT and customs duties. In the case of delivery via Slovenská pošta, you will also pay an additional fee for storing the order during the customs procedure. It can climb up to 9 euros.
