Scalable Capital raises call money rates to 2.6 percent
The Neobroker Scalable Capital has increased its overnight interest rates to 2.6 percent. The offer is valid from August 3, 2023 and for credits of up to 100,000 euros. But there is a crucial catch.
At the beginning of the year, Scalable Capital caused a stir with overnight interest rates of 2.3 percent. The neobroker has now increased its interest rate by 0.3 percent. Because according to the official site From August 3, 2023, customers of the company will even receive 2.6 percent interest on credit balances of up to 100,000 euros.

According to Scalable Capital, this is “the highest perpetual rate from any broker in the market.” In contrast to numerous banks, the offer is not valid for a fixed promotional period, which is six months in most cases, but without a time limit.
However, there is a catch. Because the 2.6 percent interest applies to both new and existing customers, but only for subscribers to the fee-based “Prime Plus” broker. According to Scalable Capital, the variable interest rate is processed via Baader Bank for existing and new credit. The offer is valid “until further notice”. Payment is made quarterly.

Scalable Capital’s Prime Plus subscription costs €4.99 per month and can be canceled at any time. In addition to the increased overnight interest rate of 2.6 percent, it includes “trading without order fees, an unlimited number of ETF, fund and share savings plans and much more”.
According to the company, an account can be opened in just a few minutes and can be done paperless via video, online identification function (eID) or in a post office. Erik Podzuweit, Founder and Co-CEO of Scalable Capital, commented:
