Find & save WhatsApp voice messages

There are two ways to backup individual WhatsApp voice messages. With the first variant, you use the share function in the app itself – so you don’t have to search for the respective voicemail for a long time, but you need a way to share the file with yourself (Bluetooth, mail, NAS app, etc.) . With the second variant, you use the file explorer of your mobile phone – here finding the right message can be a bit more time-consuming, but you can simply move the file to your computer via USB cable.

1st variant: Use the share function

  1. Opens the “WhatsApp Messenger” and choose the “Chats” overview at.
  2. Tap the chatthat contains the voice message.
  3. Wipes the Voicemail, tap and holduntil it is dialed.
  4. Now choose the share symbol in the top menu (Brackets with three dots).
  5. Now you can choose which app or function you want to save the file with (Bluetooth, Mail, NAS app, etc.).

2nd variant: Use the file explorer

  1. Opens the File manager of your Android smartphone.
  2. in the Main directory of internal memory you should “WhatsApp” folder find, tap on it.
  3. In the WhatsApp folder you tap on “Media” and then on “WhatsApp Voice Notes”.
  4. Here you can find now folder, the sorted by period are.
  5. With the Date of the sent voice message, you can now navigate through the folders to find the correct file.
  6. When you have found the file, you can transfer it to the PC, an external memory or similar via the directory.
