Save 50 euros now

If you want to use Apple Pay on the iPhone or Google Pay on the Android smartphone, you don’t necessarily have to ask your own bank. The flexible solution is: Free and freely available credit cards. With the Barclaycard Visa, you currently get 50 euros as a starting credit. How? We explain to you.

One of the great advantages of the Barclaycard Visa: Not only is it free, so there are no annual fees, and there is no need to switch accounts. If you have the credit card, you can simply link it to your own bank account. In other words: sales are quickly offset against the existing account by direct debit. So everything stays as it is, no stress. The only difference: from now on you can also pay with the free Barclaycard Visa via Apple Pay and Google Pay – the iPhone and Android smartphone become a digital wallet.

50 euros starting credit for the Barclaycard Visa: Compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay

Anyone who is currently applying for the free card will receive it currently still 50 euros free – in the form of a starting credit on the card. How do you get the cash gift in the end? The amount is automatically transferred to the credit card account 8 weeks after the card is used for the first time. The first bet must be made within 4 weeks of receiving the card, and at least 100 euros must be wagered during this time. The following also applies: Customers must have successfully registered and logged in to Barclaycard online banking or the app. It is currently not known how long the current offer will be valid, so it might be better not to think too long.

But is the credit card really free? It is, at least for the most part. You save any annual fees and there are also no foreign currency fees for payments. There are also no cash withdrawal fees. On their own, ATM operators can charge fees independently of Barclaycard, which are then not reimbursed. So please look very carefully beforehand.

Particularly useful: if you want, you can get up to 3 free partner cards – ideal for family members.

Buy now, but only pay later: what you have to consider

Another important thing to know: Partial repayment is automatically preset for the Barclaycard Visa, possibly combined with interest fees. If you do not want this, you can adjust the payment plan online or via the app in the settings at any time and thus set it up to 100 percent – in other words, the monthly turnover is then paid in full, there are no fees. However, there is currently also special conditions, so Barclays promises 0 percent interest for individual sales under 500 euros with a term of 3 months. So you can actually buy immediately, but pay later than usual.

The Barclaycard Visa is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay – Simply integrate it into the respective wallet apps and that’s it. If you want, you can also use the card to make direct contactless payments.
