Samsung presents new Exynos 2100 chipset for S21 series
There is news about the Samsung Galaxy S21 series again. The manufacturer has announced the Exynos 2100 chipset. A few things can be said about the new processor, and it should be further improved.
Exynos 2100 chipset
We can meet the latest processor that we will see in the three devices from the S21 series. Where in America the phones appear with the Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm, in Europe (and therefore the Netherlands) the Exynos 2100 chipset. The new processor has been officially announced by the Korean manufacturer. It is based on 5nm architecture and must be 10 percent faster than the Exynos 990 from the S20. Samsung also promises that energy efficiency must have increased 20 percent. A speed gain of 40 percent is achieved on the GPU.
The most powerful core in the processor measures a clock speed of 2.9 GHz, this is a Cortex-X1 core. In addition, there are three 2.8 GHz cores (Cortex-A78) and four times a 2.2 GHz core (Cortex-A55). The Exynos 2100 has been further optimized for the use of connectivity. The 5G modem is built-in and there is support for sub-6 GHz bandwidth and mmWave technology. This brings the theoretically maximum achievable download speed to 7.35Gbps.
The processor also helps to speed up and improve the various AI tasks, or artificial intelligence. In addition, the camera performance must improve, according to Samsung. The chipset can handle up to six camera lenses, while up to four sensors can be controlled simultaneously. Capturing a video is possible in 4K with a maximum of 120fps, although this does not immediately mean that the S21 can handle this.
We will find out everything about the S21 series on Thursday, then the announcement of the Galaxy S21.
